UDM Management in Place

“UDM Management in Place”

The Universidad de Manila, through the grant of fiscal and administrative autonomy under the Manila City Ordinance 8636 and the Board of the Regents’ approval via Resolution No. 48, has created new positions to strengthen the operational control and management of the University. The new organizational chart of UdM aims to be a “center of excellence” as they create new positions to provide better services to their students.

The individuals that have been designated and confirmed by the Board are Dr. Ador Paulino, Dean of Professional Schools as Executive Vice President, Dr. Ronald A. Herrera as Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mr. Manfredo Marcelllano as Vice President for Administration, and Col. George Avila (ret) as Vice President for Comptrollership.

Adding to these new appointees are Mr. Francis Atienza heading the Information, Communication and Technology Department (ICTD), Mr. Rejan L. Tadeo leading the Quality Assurance Accreditation, and Data Protection Department (QUAD), Prof. Veneranda S. Geronimo with Human Resources, and Atty. Ramon Esguerra as Secretary to the Board and University Legal Counsel.

UdM’s Treasury is now headed by Ms. Maria Rosario Gutierrez, who has 39 years of experience in one of the country’s leading banks. Ms. Generosa Moreno, the new Chief Accountant, has 25 years in government service. While, Ms. Gloria D. Diaz and Mr. Jeff Litan, who has been working for UdM for two years now, were appointed cashier and budget officer. Lastly, the new registrar is Ms. Loida Primavera, a UdM employee for 11 years.

With a new roster of individuals and officials to help in making UdM a center of excellence, President Malou Tiquia hopes that the new team can now complete their goal – a CHED HEI-recognition, ISO, Innovation Hub, and by 2023 an Innovation Zone. -JKG
