Master of Arts in Criminal Justice System

The UNIVERSIDAD DE MANILA Master of Arts in Criminal Justice focuses on professional development and provides an intensive study theory and practice in the field of criminal justice. The program fosters independent learning and enables students to contribute intellectually to the corrections, law enforcement and administration of justice profession.

The MCJ program is ideal for those interested in upper level careers in enforcement security, corrections and human services. It also prepares those wishing to teach criminal justice or serve a personnel and training specialists in justice related organizations. The MCJ degree is highly regarded as being valuable assests indicative of professionalisms and competence above and beyond the baccalaureate degree.

Students learn to management components of the criminal justice system through course work in areas such as correctional system, law enforcement, court system, criminal justice and criminology theory, juvenile justice, forensic psychology, gender, race, and crime, professionalisms and ethics, criminal justice research, and management and leadership in criminal justice. Graduates demonstrate a conceptual understanding of advanced criminal justice system and critically analyze and solve problems based on applied research methods.

The mission of the Master in Criminal Justice System at UNIVERSIDAD DE MANILA empowers students to critically analyze the world around them in relation to the processes of the criminal justice system through theoretical, analytical and methodical inquiry.
